Busy busy

I read an entertaining piece from The New York Times about being busy. It includes the following:

"More and more people in this country no longer make or do anything tangible; if your job wasn’t performed by a cat or a boa constrictor in a Richard Scarry book I’m not sure I believe it’s necessary."

What a wonderful thing to say.

I was fairly excited to enrol recently in a course called The Art of Picture Books at the local university's Centre for Continuing Education, but it was cancelled due to lack of interest.

Lately I have been drawing galahs. You can see a postcard I need to finish too. In the Richard Scarry book check out the rhinoceros dentist and a walrus dental nurse.

A few days ago I had a wisdom tooth extracted.
